Don't Call It A Comeback

Okay, so at long last I finished the tweaks to the site and am ready to get this party train rolling again...

The most noticable change is that I've rebuilt everything around entry categories. Instead of a traditional category system by topic, like "Politics", I've categorized entries by type:

  • Journal - random thoughts and reactions, standard blog entry stuff
  • Manifesto - the real purpose of the site, an attempt to put in writing my current position on a broad range of issues... subject to endless revision
  • Community Watch - interesting news and opinion pieces written by other people, reprinted here. No more broken links for the good stuff.
  • Learn, Damn It! - timely quotes
  • Site Admin - you know

I'll spell all of this out in more detail in the long promised about section, but I think these entry categories had evolved anyway and putting a framework around them just makes things easier to identify and navigate.

You may notice a ton of new entries appearing throughout the archive under Community Watch... I have a long list of articles (most referenced from my earlier blog entries) that I'm going to add to the archive over the next couple days. Instead of just posting them all with today's date I thought it would make more sense to back date the new entries to when I first referenced them and spread them out logically.

Anyway, it's good to be back at it!
