So I was watching the MSNBC day-before-debate coverage yesterday with Chris Matthews on the campus of Arizona State University. He was continuing his "Unscientific and Generally Pointless Crowd Poll" series by dragging his mic along the front row of the barricaded crowd of Kerry and Bush supporters and asking if they supported the Iraq war.
It really was amazing how every college-aged Bush supporter he asked, male and female, was absolutely gung-ho about the war.
I wish he had asked:
I know the Iraq War is cool, like a video game and shit, but are you willing to pack your bags and go fight it? Like, right now?
I think we'd see pretty quickly the difference between a "nice to have" war and a "necessary" war if these jackasses suddenly had to risk their lives for it.
